17-Broadcast-Loving Life
well ive noticed that it has definitely been a while since i've last blogged. Ive had so much stuff to do between school and church and of course as a life of a teenager. To start off with I just recently turned 17 this past February. Yes i know everybody is telling me i'm getting old. I just can't believe that next year I will legally be an adult(well a young adult), but I'm enjoying every bit of it until then. Gosh time flies by. Well I got my first midterms and so far im close to the straight A mark i have always wanted. My birthday was one that I will never forget for as long as i live. My mom and stepdad took me out to eat and some of our church friends came. Of course we had the waiters come roaring with singing Happy Birthday in Spanish and it made my head sink all the way to my knees from embarrassment. Then we just piddled around and went shopping for a little bit and then went to our friends house and came home. It was full of laughs and acting crazy.....
This weekend is Youth Broadcast at my church. We had one last year and this year's is just getting better and better. Last night was our first night and basically it was about getting ready to have a true relationship with God. I will admit that I do believe in God but I havent been living my life right like I should. I never actually take the time to realize that God has given me another healthy year and the little things he shows me I take for granted and I shouldnt. There I got that off my chest!! Tonight is going to be the real deal...The Actual Message. I'm singing in the choir for it and at first i was just all down and out because I had to, but i know now that i shouldnt be because it pleases God and I can tell that God was moving in the church at the end. My friend Carrie went to the altar and I went up there with her to pray for her. She's my best friend I couldnt just leave her up there. I not only prayed for her, but I prayed for myself. And im thinking right now.....Do i really have a true relationship with God? That was the question that ended the first night of BROADCAST
