An Awesome Summer

This summer has been awesome. I can't believe it is almost over.... 6 more days left already. Well anyways, when i posted about competing in Nationals we came home with Gold Medals. This is our 2nd year winning back to back as national champions. I was excited that we won because not only it was great, but it was my first time winning something at the National level. The whole National Competition took place in Orlando, Florida. We stayed at a really nice hotel called the Hilton Resort. It was almost like heaven, but actually it's not. The rooms were great and the view was awesome. We had a view of the swimming pool that was connected to the lazy river and there was a little pool on the side that was for a water slide that was there. The whole youth convention was called Youth Quest and the theme this year was to be Relentless. That was the name of the convention. It was a great experience. Charlie Hall and his band performed and was phenomenal. Some of the teens in my youth group came home with extra medals and scholarships. That's what I got except we got 2 of them for different colleges/universities. The 2 scholarships I won was one from Emmanuel College in Franklin, Georgia and the other one was from Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma. Now tell me if that would be a long trip to drive... I know it would. But anyways, I still can't believe that summer is almost over. I'll be a sophomore this year and I can't believe it either. 2 more years left of high school and then it's off to sending applications in for college. Time flies by so fast....... Spring Break 2010

Spring Break was awesome..... I went to Florida for a week to go see my grandparents and my cousins. I haven't been to Florida in 8 years until the 3rd of this month. It took us like 12 or 13 hours to get there and it took longer to get home due to the herendous traffic. I was glad to be home, but I already miss everybody there including my Mimi and Pawpaw Buck. The day we left, everybody was crying because we had to leave, but I know we had to. Anyways, me, my cousin Dylan, my brother, my 2 other cousins Alyssa and Emily, Mimi, Mom, my Grandma Tincy, and my aunt Marisol all went to the beach at this beach club in Naples. It was a lot of fun. I didn't know this, but I thought that Naples was on the right side of Florida with the Atlantic Ocean, but actually it was on the left and I got to see the Gulf of Mexico on the pier. I saw the outline of Florida, too........ We went to my Grandma Taylor's house to see everybody there and they said that they couldn't believe how much I have grown. My Uncle Don was so hilarious since my cousin Nikki was bellydancing so he decided to show us some of his moves and I couldn't help but laugh so hard. He had us cracking up....Yes our Spring Break was awesome and I can't wait till Summer Break!!!! Here is a pic of me, my brother Chandler, and my Grandma Taylor at the Bay:

A Busy Past Two Weeks

Well, the past few weeks have been great, but two out of the few weeks have been so busy. I had to go to contest with my chorus in Wake Forest last Friday and we came home with a really high excellent. I didn't feel too comfortable with receiving an excellent, but I am really proud that we finished it together... that's all that really mattered. Anyways, tomorrow is my spring concert and I am really looking forward to it. I'm going to be going out of town in about 3 weeks to go see my grandparents. They moved to where I am going last August because of job losses. My grandma said that she's really looking forward to seeing me and the rest of my family. We figured that it was time that we paid them a visit. Yeah school is still doing good. I made the principal's list last 9 weeks so my name was in the newspaper. I am thinking about trying out for ensamble next week, but I have no idea what song to choose. So anyways I am really sorry for the delay of posting and I hope to post more in the next couple weeks.... hopefully before I go out of town.

3 More Days......

well, this weekend seems like it has just flown away. I am so ready for this up coming week because my birthday is Wednesday and I am really going to be in for a HUGE surprise at school....! Today we went to Judge's to eat for my birthday since my birthday is Wednesday and we have church, we won't get to do much on that day, but it's a good thing because I'll get to have a big cookie cake for my birthday, too. Well, anyways I'm in a drama that I'm going to be in with the drama team at my church in our youth conference coming up next month, and then going to Teen Talent to be in a competition. Hopefully we will come home with the win, but it's about what God feels. So anyways, I will hopefully be updating more throughout the week and maybe on my birthday as well!!!

A Normal Day

Well today seemed normal as usual at school.... I was tired the whole day and I didn't feel the best either. I was ready to come home. Well the good news is that I found out that I officially have right now a 3.0 GPA! I'm proud of myself! That is Grade Point Average (GPA). I am striving to get at least a 3.5 or 4.0 GPA if I can which I know I can though. My birthday is in 6 days and I am so excited. My friends at school already told me that I was going to be in for a really big surprise. They already told me that they were going to get me some stuff for me and I told him that they didn't have to, but they wanted to anyways..... Gosh I can't wait til that day! Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody!!!! Just got home from church and hanging out at the house. Came home from my Dad's this morning and getting ready to watch the Daytona 500..... been waiting on that for a long long time. Miss watching races and seeing the excitement and fun of it. I'm pulling for Jeff Gordon. I've been a fan of him ever since I was a little girl and always have and always will be. Jeff is a really great driver and when I was little I started liking him because my birthday is the 24th of February and his car # is 24 also. That's what i told my dad when he told me about him. Jeff said the other night with the Nationwide Series racing that he is really excited about his back up car that he has to drive because he wrecked Thursday. Poor Jeff!!! He got over it though and he says that his back up car is fast and he feels confident about winning at Daytona. For any of you that don't know where Daytona is, it's in Daytona Beach, Florida. I've been wanting to go to a Daytona race for a while, but I never can find the time. The race yesterday with the Nationwide Series was a fight to the finish. For all you Tony Stewart fans out there.......Congratulations on winning! This year Danica Patrick is racing for the Nationwide Series making her debut and just because of one wreck that she couldn't help but get into, ruined her chance. She is a pretty smart driver if you ask me.... but anyways, more updates to come later on!!!! GO JEFF!!!!! --Peace :D

No School Once Again

Well, today we didn't have school again since it started sleeting and raining. So we got to sleep in again this morning which I really enjoyed. I was glad that I got to sleep in again. This whole week has been full of delays and closings, but I was glad of that. What is going to stink is that now we have to make up three days of school. One on President's Day and the other on Memorial Day. I have no clue when we are going to make up the other one. If we have to make it up during Spring Break, then I won't be at school to make it up because I'm going to Florida for a week. My grandparents aren't doing to well and I haven't been down there to see everybody in almost nine years.  My other grandparents are ok... they aren't in the best shape, but they are getting along quite well. I'm just ready to go see my other side of the family. My mimi and papaw moved to Florida back in August because my papaw lost his job and mimi didn't have a job.... well she did, but got laid off.  I've been talking to them since they moved, but not every day. But anyways, hopefully next week we'll be back in school and won't hopefully have to make up anymore days. Three seems enough don't you think? I know it does....but we got to do what we got to do. Another Snow Day

Well, today so far has been fun... I went to spend the night with my grandma and spent time with her. She has a good time when I'm over at her house. Found out today that tomorrow we have a 3 hour delay for school due to weather of course. Anyways, I got up this morning and then we had to go to her Weight Watchers meeting and she has done really well with it. She got my papaw on that diet, too and he's really improved on it. To be honest, the kind of food that they eat is actually not all that bad. Practically I really do like the food she makes. Most of the sweets and other things are like 1 point and theyre really good. She told me that if I stayed with her all the time, then she would have me on the same diet with them and I would be like a toothpick...... (which I wish I was). But anyway, and then we had to go to the dentist office for my grandma and then went to get groceries. I played on the computer until I had to come home and I played on there till like midnight last night. I was a bit tired this morning but that didn't stop me from getting up. Well, time to look forward to going back to school.............oh the joy! ---Peace :D

No School

Well, today has been a fine day..... went to my grandma's house and stayed with her while my mom went to work. Snow is still on the ground!!! uhhh! We didn't have school today due to the weather and tomorrow we don't have it either. Now that makes 2 days that we're going to have to make up...... bummer! But anyways, my mom's best friend brought her son over to my grandma's house, too because he doesn't have school either. He's in 1st grade this year. So we all spent the day with our grandparents and I baked Chocolate Chunk cookies and they were delicious! mmmmmm!!!! So yeah I made those and then I played the piano most of the day while I was waiting for the cookies to bake. I finally learned how to play a new song called " Favorite Girl" by Justin Bieber. He's only 15 and he has an amazing voice,(Most of you teenage girls know who I am talking about :) haha). I was listening to it on my ipod today and was trying to find the notes on the piano in order to play it and ended up learning how to play the whole song. My grandma said that the reason why I probably know how to play it now is because I play by ear. That means that whatever I hear then I can play on the piano which is pretty awesome by the way...... haha! So anyways, it has been a really good day other than finding out that we don't have school tomorrow and that now we have 2 days to make up which is going to stink..... hopefully we won't have to make it up during spring break because I am heading to Florida to see my grandparents and my cousins. I haven't seen them in over 8 years.  They are the sweetest things that you can ask for..... especially my new cousin that was born this past November. I have seen pics of her and she is so cute and so fat..... which is cute for a baby. Most of her pics were mainly Christmas pics that I have seen of her, but I'm sure that when I get down there, that she'll begin to like me. So now I'm just waiting to see if we have school on Wednesday.  Well, time for me to get ready to go to my mamaw's house to maybe spend the night over there with her.......... talk to you guys later! ---Peace :D!

A Cold Day in the Mountains

Today was good. Got up and got ready for the day and then later on we went to Blowing Rock. We went to go take some pics of the different scenery up there and it was between 27 and 45 degrees up there. There was more snow than what we got down here. My Granny Linda went with us up there and she seemed like she really had a really good time with us there....... We saw a deer going up another mountain in somebody's front yard eating and then saw some horses in the pasture....There was one that I thought was real pretty there and it was like a creme colored horse in the snow. It looked just like my British Golden Retriever that I have at my house. It was a pretty view also. Well we didn't get back till almost 7:40 or a little after and I'm exhausted. It has just been a really long day. This morning my brother went sledding with my stepdad across from this church that we live close to and when my brother got home, his cheeks were so red. Well anyways, time to wind down and get ready to go to my grandma's tomorrow since I don't have school tomorrow due to the weather. -Peace! :-)

Average Day with Family

 Sunday, January 17th- Today was just your average day. I came home from my dad's this morning and thought we were going to be going to church, but turned out since everybody was so tired, we decided to just stay home. I just felt like kicking back and I put music on my little cousin's MP3 player for her and just played on the computer for a little while. At 1:00 today we went to my Granny Linda's house to celebrate January birthdays. Every year of every month, we go there to have either lunch or supper. We always have a kick out of that and we act crazy half of the time. I know what you're thinking, "They must be a crazy family if you ask me." So yeah when we got back home I decided to write in my notebook to put posts on here. I'm looking forward to tomorrow because I'm out of school for exam exemptions. Winding Down from a fun day with Grandparents, Aunt, and little Cousin

Saturday January 16th- Well, today was actually a pretty good day. I went shopping with my two Grandma's, my Aunt, and my little cousin, Abbie. We go shopping like almost every Saturday and we always crack up at everything. First we eat and then we shop till about 5:30 "ish". So yeah it was a really long day. I didn't get up till 9:30 this morning and my dad didn't get up till 11:00. He made a big breakfast that I wish I could've ate with him, but my mamaw was coming so all I had for breakfast was a biscuit and a capri sun. Now I'm up to the point where I don't want to eat much since I'm getting ready for basketball next year. I didn't make it this year because of some odd reason so I just told myself that it'll give me more time to strengthen up and get alot stronger..... haha! so anyways, it has just been a regular day as always.

Exam Exemption Break

Friday, January 15th- Well today was my 1st day of vacation....why? Because I'm exempt from my exams. I got exempt because my grades were good and I haven't missed a day of school. I'm really proud of myself and so is my family. Some of my friends were a little jealous, but we laughed about it. Anyway, today was just me and my mom. I woke up this morning, did my regular routine that I do every morning, and cleaned my room. Since I'm exempt from exams, she took me to eat lunch at Fatz because that's where I wanted to go. So me and my mom got in there to order and everything and me and her just busted out laughing because our waiter we had sounded just like Bugs Bunny even though he wasn't a rabbit..... haha! Yeah it was so funny. To be honest he was an odd person kind of. He kept coming to mine and mom's table, but coming from behind me..... awkward moment there! But it was still funny about the waiter sounding like Bugs Bunny. I will never forget that. I'm getting ready to go to my dad's so I will be posting more later!!!!  -Peace! :D

T.G.I.F. "Thank God It's Friday"

January 22nd- Well...... I just got home from staying a couple days with my mamaw. I have alot of fun with her. We always have fun together..... lol! When I'm there, I always laugh so hard at everything when I'm with her. She always has a good time with me when I'm over at her house because she really doesn't have anybody to go and do stuff with her. Anyways, yeah she's funny... :)

Spending the day with mom at work

On January 19th- So far today has been fun. I went to work with mom again since I don't have to go back to school till next Wednesday.... I'm looking forward to going back, but then again uhhhh no!!!! lol! I'm Like every kid. Most kids and teens say they absolutely hate school. I'm not saying that I hate it, though sometimes I do depending on how the day goes. I mean it gets boring after a while. But anyway, I might go stay with my other grandma for a couple nights later on this week. I'm really enjoying being out of school though it's been a rough two weeks for me, but I'm a little bit ready to go back. I miss my friends and this one guy that I "did" like, but me and him are just friends. lol! Today has just been tiring a little.... this morning mom went to Hardee's with me for breakfast and then went to Wendy's for lunch later on in the day. I've been playing on the computer and talking to the girls that work with her. TonightI have to go to a Town Council Meeting in Lenoir for my project I have in World History at school. I'm taking an Honors class and we have to go to 2 meetings. They really ain't that fun because all you do is sit there and listen to them agree on things and it seems forever, but it really doesn't take that long although it feels like it. But anyway,  I hope that everybody had a good day today. I'm just ready for the weekend as always.......lol! I'm a weekend kind of person........ but anyways.......hope everybody has a good week and be safe. lol!

New Classes

Well, today has been an average day . I got my new schedule for 2nd semester Wednesday and I am now taking Algebra 1 End and English 1. The rest of my classes are still the same as 1st semester except for those 2 classes. So anyways, it started snowing Friday night after I got home from school and we were suppose to get 10-15 in. of it, but turns out we only got 4-6 in. I think. lol! Well anyways, Algebra 1 isn't so bad.......... right now that is. haha! Right now we are learning about multiplication properties using exponents and how to raise a power of the exponent to another power and at first it blew me away, but then I got the hang of it. My mind went totally BLANK after she showed us some of the problems we were going to be doing. It'll get easier as the rest of the year goes on............ my English 1 class is just like my Communication Skills class was last semester, but it gets a little bit trickier.... lol! Well the past week has been intresting.... other than getting my new schedule. I was out for 2 days due to teacher work days and in the previous weeks I was out due to exam exemptions for 1st semester. I passed all my classes... as far as I know.... and hoping that I did.
